Configure your email for Windows Live Mail

If you have not upgraded to the latest version of Microsoft’s free email client and are still running “Outlook Express”, click here to visit Microsoft and install Windows Live Essentials which includes the new version of Windows Live Mail

When you open Windows Live Mail for the first time you will automatically be brought to the add email account wizard.  If you see this window, skip to STEP 2.

Step 1:

On the left hand column of Windows Live Mail, look for “Add e-mail account”

Step 2:

Email Address: Your full email address

Password: Your password

Display Name: Your Full Name

Click Next

Leave all defaults on the page except:

Incoming server: mail.hostnj.net

Login ID: Change to be full email address

Outgoing server: mail.hostnj.net

Check Box: My outgoing server requires authentication

Click Next then Finish

Press “Sync” on the top bar to test the new settings.

If you receive an error, right click on the new account on the left bar and click “Remove Account“.

Repeat starting at Step 1 or call (856) 566-1300
